After-School Program

Twenty-four students who participate in the Summer Law Institute are invited to join the After-School program in the fall.

  • All students are required to attend the program from 4:00-6:00 on Wednesdays and Thursdays.  Each of these days is focused on life skills building, and on mathematical skill building.

  • Students who do not have at least a 90 average in school are also required to attend the After-School Program on Mondays and Tuesdays from 4:00-6:00.  These days are dedicated to strictly overseen study hall sessions with tutors available for various subject matters.

  • All students are also invited to attend leadership and community building workshops every second Friday from 4:00-6:00

  • Students are required to attend grammar and writing classes from 10:00- 2:00 on twenty-five Saturdays throughout the school year.

  • When students become sophomores in high school, they continue with the After-School Program, but an essay writing class replaces grammar class.  The math skills building sessions continue as during the freshman year.  Students continue in the After-School Program until they graduate from high school and matriculate to college.

The After-School Program is one portion of NJ LEEP’s four-year college bound program.  Students who participate in the After-School program must thus also participate in the Law-Related Education Program.
