Community Law and Education Project

Bringing Legal Education to Community Schools

In partnership with the Center for Social Justice at the Seton Hall University School of Law, NJ LEEP facilitates a structured project in which law students are trained to teach law-related lessons in community schools.

Emphasis is placed upon the training and support of law students, so that their experience may be a rewarding aspect of their legal education, and so that they are better able to have an impact upon the students whom they teach.

The project is conducted in both the Spring and Fall Semesters.  Public school students and teachers who participate in the project attend field trips to the Law School and courthouses, and the students participate in a graduation ceremony.

Public school teachers and students, or law students, who are interested in participating can contact NJ LEEP at (973) 242-0951 or info@njleep.org.
