Craig Livermore, Executive Director

Mr. Livermore holds a B.A. from Franklin and Marshall College in Religion and Mathematics, a Master of Theological Studies from Harvard, and a J.D. from Columbia Law School.  He worked for several years at Legal Outreach, Inc., in New York City, where he directed law-related and college preparation programs for low-income urban youth.  The Legal Outreach model focuses on a rigorous high expectations curricula and character building for urban youth in order to prepare them for competition at elite colleges and universities.  In 2006, he founded NJ LEEP, the New Jersey Law and Education Empowerment Project, in partnership with Seton Hall Law School, to bring the Legal Outreach model to urban New Jersey.

Mr. Livermore is the founding board chair of Newark Legacy Charter School and is an Adjunct Professor at Seton Hall Law School where he teaches a course on Race, Law and Education.  In addition to work on religion, ethics and public policy, Mr. Livermore has published articles on urban educational management, and educational policy and its effects on racially equitable educational outcomes.

Onaje Crawford, Director of College Bound Programming

Mr. Crawford holds a B.S. in Political Science from Boston University. He has worked in multi-faceted administrative and educational roles for a charter school in Newark, NJ. He has extensive leadership experience with many organizations, including Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. He has also worked for a math empowerment program and a mentoring program for urban youth as well as a mentoring program for juvenile offenders in Boston.

Junea Williams-Edmund, College Bound Program Coordinator

Mrs. Williams-Edmund holds a B.A., cum laude, in History with a minor in Education from Barnard College, Columbia University, as well as a J.D. from New York University School of Law. While in college, Mrs. Williams-Edmund taught law and History classes to middle and high school students in Harlem and the Bronx. While in law school, Mrs. Williams-Edmund represented juvenile offenders in various proceedings before NYC's Family Court. Prior to joining NJ LEEP's staff, Mrs. Williams-Edmund practiced commercial and employment litigation for seven years at law firms in New York City and northern New Jersey, during which she represented an array of Fortune 500 companies. Mrs. Williams-Edmund has published numerous law journal articles discussing key developments in employment litigation and electronic discovery. She also has extensive experience serving on the boards of several local area non-profit organizations committed to urban education.

Matthew Feinstein, Legal Education Coordinator

Mr. Feinstein holds a B.A. from The University of Maryland at College Park and a J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law, where he co-founded the Urban Education Law and Policy Initiative and served as President of the Litigation Society. Mr. Feinstein has been involved with NJ LEEP from its inception, teaching Community Law classes in East Orange and Newark, assisting with the Summer Law Institute and helping to administer the Constitutional Law Debate Program.

Jeffrey Key, Law-Related Education Coordinator

Mr. Key holds a B.A. in Political Science from Princeton University and a J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law, where he participated in the Street Law Clinic, Tax Law Society, and VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) Program. He has worked in the non-profit education field in several different settings, including working as an Americorps Teaching Fellow for Citizen Schools in Newark and serving as a graduate assistant for the Summer Institute of Pre-Legal Studies.

Rashmi Dighe, Development Coordinator

Ms. Dighe joined the NJ LEEP team as the Development Coordinator in February 2010. She holds a B.S. in Accounting from New York University. Prior to joining NJ LEEP, Ms. Dighe worked in financial reporting at Prudential Financial in the Newark office where she first gained an appreciation for the community of Newark and its potential. Since then, Ms. Dighe has been inspired to become actively involved in transforming lives of underserved populations and truly believes in the mission and vision of NJ LEEP.
